Sheffield Women against Pit Closures are the subject of a new ‘protest lab’ exhibition at the Millenium Gallery. The exhibition includes memorabilia, banners and poetry from the 1984/85 miners strike but also for the first time from the women’s pit camp at Houghton Main in 1993 set up to campaign against pit closures.
