Immigration removal centres under scrutiny

Immigration rights campaigners have welcomed a report by MPs on the Home Affairs committee which recommends an end to indefinite detention and better protection for vulnerable detainees such as those who have experienced torture. The cross party parliamentary group said the Home Office has “utterly failed to ensure the safety of people detained in immigration detention centres across the UK”.
