Knife Angel decision could be reviewed

Sheffield Councillor Paul Wood, cabinet member for housing and community safety, told Sheffield Live! the decision not to host a sculpture aimed a tackling knife crime could be reviewed. The Knife Angel sculpture, created from blades handed in to UK police forces, has provoked mixed views but campaigners are calling for Sheffield to be among the cities hosting the touring sculpture. Sheffield MP joins campaign against sexual harassment

Sheffield Central MP Paul Blomfield has joined the campaign to raise awareness against sexual harassment in public spaces. Sheffield charity calls for action on human trafficking

Sheffield based charity Snowdrop is calling on the government to do more to raise awareness of human trafficking. Every year hundreds of people are trafficked into the UK and victims are being compelled into prostitution, forced labour or working excessively long hours, often in extreme conditions. Tramlines 2020 tickets in high demand

Within hours of going on sale Sheffield’s Tramlines Music Festival has already sold out on early bird tickets, following the success of this year’s event. About 7,000 people were already in a queuing system on the organisers’ website on Monday evening when the “super early bird tickets” went on sale for the annual event. Junior football club launches new kit

Sheffield United’s Junior Blades 1981 have been handed a boost ahead of their new football season kick off. The grassroots under 9’s football team debuted its new football kit on Thursday, designed and donated by mobile network operator Giffgaff.
