Over two dozen people gathered at Sheffield City Hall at the weekend to mark the 49th anniversary of the military coup in Chile that left many dead or disappeared and forced thousands to leave the country. The 1973 coup led by Augusto Pinochet ousted the popular unity government of President Salvador Allende and replaced it wth a military junta which ruled for 15 years.
