Conservatives criticise Corbyn for neutral position on Brexit

UK Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, criticised Jeremy Corbyn for his neutral stance on a future Brexit referendum if Labour wins the next general election. Speaking to Sheffield Live! reporter Azz Mohammed , after the special party leaders’ edition of BBC Question Time, Raab said: “How can you claim to be a leader and stay neutral on the biggest issue affecting this country in this election?” Corbyn has said acting as an “honest broker” was a “sensible way forward”.

Lib Dems pledge to tackle homelessness

SynthFest returns to Sheffield

The UK’s premier synthesizer festival, SynthFest, has returned to Sheffield for its fourth year with over 1000 delegates attending exhibitions, workshops and performance at the Octagon Centre. Sheffield nurse launches debut music album

Rose Deline Bazzie, a Liberian refugee who came to Sheffield 15 years ago has launched her debut music album called Grateful Heart. The artist, a professional nurse, moved to the city in 2014 under the United Nations gateway program. Baillor Jalloh reports for Sheffield Live!

Sheffield hosts underwater hockey championship

Hundreds of athletes from 13 countries have been in Sheffield to take part in the world’s underwater hockey championship which is being held at Ponds Forge. The hectic sport which began in the 1950s is becoming increasingly popular with more than 100 teams across the UK. Team GB’s U24 and U19 are taking part in the competition and will be hoping to qualify for the final on Saturday. Baillor Jalloh reports for Sheffield Live!

Tramlines 2020 tickets in high demand

Within hours of going on sale Sheffield’s Tramlines Music Festival has already sold out on early bird tickets, following the success of this year’s event. About 7,000 people were already in a queuing system on the organisers’ website on Monday evening when the “super early bird tickets” went on sale for the annual event.
