A meeting took place over the weekend at the city centre in Victoria Hall with the Sheffield Educators Underground, a project initiated by teachers who are members of the Industrial Workers of the World Union. They believe that education in the UK is making learning more bland, exam focused and career orientated. Sheffield Live caught up with Chris Wellbrook who is one of their members to hear about their plans on education and his views on the government’s U-turn on academies.
