Hundreds of people, including the Lord Mayor, Councillor Magid Magid, joined the Sheffield Carnival procession parade at Norfolk Heritage Park. The annual event has been revived in Sheffield since 2016, after a 20 year absence. Baillor Jalloh reports for Sheffield Live!
A travelling exhibition of animatronic dinosaurs have arrived at Norfolk Heritage Park and look set to be a roaring success. Over a thousand attended the opening day of the family oriented event. Organised by Jurassic Kingdom the dinosaurs will be roaming the park until 10 June with tickets available online and on the door. Baillor Jalloh reports for Sheffield Live!
Thousand of people flocked to Norfolk Heritage Park for the 16th annual Sheffield Fayre. The bank holiday crowds were not disappointed as the sun came out for the free event with attractions ranging from fairground rides and food to a blooming horticultural show, crafts, games and market stalls. Sheffield Carnival is set to return for the first time since the 1980s with a colourful parade which will take place at the Norfolk Heritage Park. The carnival, with costumes, music, food and cultural activities will run alongside Sheffield Fayre as a free, family friendly event. Sheffield Live! reporter Azz Mohammed joined the preparations at Weston Park Museum.
Hundreds of people, including children and families, enjoyed their August bank holiday at the Sheffield Fayre at Norfolk Heritage Park. The Fayre features a horticultural show as well as an arena for local dance and performing talent. There were also sideshows, fairground activities and street dancers performing to keep the crowd entertained. The Sheffield Fayre is in its fifteenth year and is organised by Sheffield City Council in partnership with the Friends of Norfolk Heritage Park, University of Sheffield and the National Fairground Archive.
