It is one year to go before the Special Olympics kicks off in Sheffield

There’s one year to go today before Sheffield host next year’s Special Olympics National Games – which are held every four years. It’s the biggest disability sporting event in the country in 2017, with 2,600 athletes with learning disabilities from across England, Scotland and Wales taking part in 20 different sports. These Games are a chance to make a huge difference to the lives of many inspiring athletes with learning disabilities.
