South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have launched an electrical fire safety campaign today. It comes as figures show an increase in electrical fires, from 150 in 2013 to 190 in 2015, whilst other types of fires have significantly reduced. The fire service blame the increase on products like phone chargers, washing machines and e cigs, as well as over loading sockets and charging equipment for too long.
