Caborn calls for independent inquiry into football corruption

Former sport Minister Richard Caborn has called on the Football Association to commission an independent inquiry into football corruption. The call comes after former England boss, Sam Allardyce stepped down as manager of the national side, following allegations in the Daily Telegraph newspaper. Allardyce was reported to have offered advice to undercover reporters posing as businessmen from the far east on how to “get around” player transfer rules.  Allardyce left his position in disgrace after just 67 days, making him the shortest reigning England manager in history.
