The Off the Shelf Festival of Words 2017 is underway and this weekend featured a host of activities for children celebrating magical creatures and classic stories. Now into its 25th year, Off the Shelf 2017 runs over three weeks and alongside a wide range of literary interests it carries three main strands, focussing on radicalism, India and crime. Sheffield’s two universities are jointly running the festival this year and have promised that Off the Shelf will remain true to its roots whilst adding new content from academia.
