Sheffield campaigners protest Gaza killings

Sheffield remembers victims of Hiroshima

A short remembrance ceremony has been held at the Peace Gardens to remember the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is 73 years since the United States dropped atomic bombs on the two Japanese cities resulting in the killing of more than 100,000 people and many more injured. Hen Harrier Day comes to Devonshire Green

Sheffield wildlife campaigners brought this year’s Hen Harrier Day to Devonshire Green to raise awareness of illegal persecution that has left the bird an endangered species. Fashion show celebrates African culture

Youdan Trophy football tournament underway

The Youdan Trophy has launched its fourth international youth football tournament in Sheffield with local and UK under 14s and under 16s academy teams competing with international visitors from Ireland, the USA and Oman. Lord Mayor demands justice for Orgreave miners

Further strike days planned on Sheffield trams

Further strike action on Sheffield’s Supertram network is planned across eight days in August, Unite the Union has announced. The union is calling for constructive talks on pay. Zimbabwe in the balance as poll results awaited
