Outdoor activities help economic growth

The European Outdoor Summit is going to be held in Sheffield next year. This announcement comes as the same time as  research carried out by Sheffield Hallam University,  shows that outdoor activities such as climbing, walking and biking are all contributing to the economic growth of the City.  The research estimates that outdoor activities bring £53 million pounds to Sheffield.

Owls back after international break

The Owls are back in action after the international break and will be playing Watford at Hillsborough on Saturday. Head Coach Stuart Gray said: “We are playing a very good side in Watford, good on counterattack, winning games, scoring goals, but they concede goals as well”.

Funding boost for school sports

Sheffield rollergirl back on skates

A 37 year old Sheffield mum is back in the Roller Derby world cup. Erica Packington, from Meersbrook, known as She-RARR, broke her collar bone in her first public match with Sheffield Steel rollergirls, but is now set to play for the West Indies.
