Women’s history told

March is women’s history month.  An event that celebrated that history was held in Sheffield which enabled visitors to met some of the women from our past and find out more about them.

Call to act on Climate change

Over a hundred people took part in a singing flash mob at the Railway station today on their way to the Time to Act march in London.  The march is taking place to call on Politicians to act on climate change.

Hustings held for women and politics

A meeting discussing womens’ role in politics and the up and coming elections was held in Sheffield.  The meeting which was organised by Sheffield Feminist Network had a number of speakers one of which was Jillian Creasy who is standing for the Green party as a Parliamentary candidate for Sheffield Central.

Filmmakers and musicians invited to enter 2Weeks 2Make It

Budding and established filmmakers and musicians are invited to enter South Yorkshire’s very own music video competition – which has a £500 cash prize. 2Weeks2Make it is a music video competition, now in its 7th year.

Whether:

  • you think you’ve got what it takes to make a music video;
  • your band wants a boost in online promotion;
  • your filmmaking show-reel needs a little diversity;
  • or maybe you are interested in working with new people,

2Weeks2Make it is open for an excellent creative vehicle for making new contacts in the film and music industry.
