Sheffield Council has announced that funding has been found to build an additional 500 council houses in Sheffield on top of 1000 new homes already planned to be built by 2020. Azz Mohammed reports for Sheffield Live!
Work has officially begun in Darnall and the Manor area of Sheffield to build new council houses. It is all part of Sheffield City Council’s scheme to provide an extra one thousand council homes by 2020. The 7.5 million pound development is being funded through the Council’s housing revenue account and the sale of Right to Buy council homes.
