Sheffield’s Eurovision bid team are well prepared to show what the city can offer, following shortlisting to host the 2023 Eurovision song contest. The six other cities shortlisted to host the event in May next year are Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. Twenty cities expressed an interest but only seven were shortlisted. Sheffield Live! reporter Baillor Jalloh spoke to councillor Martin Smith, chair of Sheffield Council’s Economic Development and Skills Policy Committee.
