It will be followed by light refreshments and a tour of the Sheffield Live studios.

About SCM

Sheffield Community Media Limited (SCM) is a community benefit society, formed by a community-led partnership in 2012 with the purpose of supporting the launch and development of Sheffield Live! TV. The objects of the society are to work for the benefit of the community and the advancement of the education of the public including through the production, publication and distribution of media content, the promotion of access to information, the encouragement of creative expression and the provision of training.

SCM was the first community media organisation in the UK to raise investment through a public community shares issue. SCM is now working to support the next generation of digital community media through its offer of facilities, co-working and support. The society has an operating subsidiary, Shefcast Digital Limited, which provides the digital audio broadcasting platform for Sheffield and Rotherham. It works in partnership with community radio operator Commedia Sheffield, under the joint brand Sheffield Live!
