Steel City derby ends in goalless draw

Jos Luhukay’s first match in charge of the Owls ended on a positive start with a goalless draw at Bramall Lane on Friday night. Sheffield Wednesday took a point from the match despite going down to ten men in the second half. Owls captain Glenn Loovens was sent off for a second bookable offence but the Blades, who won 4-2 at Hillsborough in September, could not make the breakthrough. After the game, both managers spoke to Sheffield Live! reporter Baillor Jalloh.

Former Owls star and England international in charity book signing

Former Sheffield Wednesday and England international footballer, Carlton Palmer, has launched his autobiography with a book signing in aid of the Cavendish Cancer Care charity. Palmer has committed 20 per cent of the cover price of signed copies to be donated to the charity. The retired midfielder said he has lost many friends to cancer and called it “the devils disease”.  Sheffield Live! reporter Azz Mohammed spoke to Carlton Palmer at Owlerton Stadium.

Sheffield Wednesday: Pudil welcomes increased expectations from Owls fans

Sheffield Wednesday’s Czech international Daniel Pudil has said that the Owls will be looking to continue their recent good form as they take on QPR at Hillsborough. Pudil was the Owl’s midweek goalscorer as they came from behind to share the points with Cardiff. Defender Pudil said he understands the increased expectation from Wednesday fans after their recent wins and success of last season.

Sheffield Wednesday: Tough game expected in Cardiff

The Owls face another difficult away game as they travel to Cardiff City for their Wednesday night fixture. The team go in to the match on the back of a 1-0 win against Huddersfield Town last week. Cardiff will be playing their second match at home under newly appointed manager, Neil Warnock. Sheffield Live! reporter Azz Mohammed was at the press conference with manager Carlos Carvalhal.
