Community Sheffield is a not for profit company limited by guarantee set up in 2001 to support the development of Sheffield Live! Community Radio. Sheffield Live! started as Sharrow Live! on FM over four days around Sheffield’s Sharrow Festival in the year 2000. From 2002 it launched four days a week as Sheffield’s first internet radio while continuing to run short term festival broadcasts. Sheffield Live! 93.2 FM became the first full-time Ofcom licensed community radio in Sheffield when it took to the airwaves on 29 October 2007.
