Sheffield charity, Music in the Round, have commissioned a concert and storytelling performance for children featuring a music-loving dog and cat. Stan and Mabel and the Race for Space is an illustrated story with original music by children’s composer in residence, Paul Rissmann. The week long Nether Edge Festival has launched with an official opening and carnival at St Peter’s Hall Common Ground on Machon Bank Road. The family friendly event features music, concerts, art, literature and sports activities and culminates with the Party in the Park on 24 September. Baillor Jalloh reports for Sheffield Live!
The High Sheriff’s Charity Concert is be held at the Cathedral Church of St Marie in support of local charity Sheffield Young Carers. The independent charity was established in 1997 and provides vital support to some of the city’s most vulnerable young carers.
