Sheffield young artists’ exhibition opens

An art exhibition displaying over 900 paintings submitted by students aged 5 to 18 years from 46 schools in Sheffield is on display at Central United Reformed Church on Norfolk Street. The annual Sheffield Young Artists Exhibition, established 20 years ago, is organised by Abbeydale Rotary Club. SynthFest returns to Sheffield

The UK’s premier synthesizer festival, SynthFest, has returned to Sheffield for its fourth year with over 1000 delegates attending exhibitions, workshops and performance at the Octagon Centre. Portraits of homelessness exhibition opens

A portrait exhibition to raise awareness about the rise of homelessness in the UK and the plight of rough sleepers on the streets has been launched at Dina arts venue on Cambridge Street. Sion Thomas has been documenting and photographing homeless people to bring to the public’s attention the struggles of living on the streets and to raise funds for two local charities, the Archer Project and S2 Food Bank. Sidney + Matilda gallery launches new exhibition

Dinosaurs descend on Norfolk Heritage Park

A travelling exhibition of animatronic dinosaurs have arrived at Norfolk Heritage Park and look set to be a roaring success. Over a thousand attended the opening day of the family oriented event. Bangers and cash, charity fundraising rally

Homelessness charity Roundabout are celebrating forty years of services by hosting Britain’s first art roadshow banger rally with the theme Bangers and Cash. The charity are inviting forty local businesses to each purchase an old car worth £650 or less and have it painted by a local artist to drive from Sheffield to Monte Carlo. The car bonnets will then go to an exhibition to be auctioned off for charity. Nick Coleman reports for Sheffield Live!

20×20 exhibition highlights emerging artists
