More about the Course

Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy with experienced improv performer and teacher, Joe Thompson. Using techniques developed by practitioners such as Keith Johnstone and Del Close, the course will guide you through the process of creating and performing comedy scenes spontaneously. A great space to develop confidence, humour, and performance skills. This course is also a great way to overcome social anxiety and feel more comfortable in everyday conversations.

More about the Teacher

Joe has been improvising for over 5 years, and in this time has achieved a lot as both a teacher and a performer. He has performed with many improv troupes in Sheffield; including The Shrimps, Stürike Comedy, Scriptless in Seattle and more. In his time improvising, he has performed at Y-Not Festival, been nominated for a Leicester Comedy Award and even appeared on BBC Radio. He has taught with local groups as well as nationally with The British Improv Project.
