Volunteers Get Rotherham Clean

Over this weekend, people in Rotherham have been getting involved in cleaning up the local community. Whilst council staff and partner organisations used specialist technical equipment to clean the streets, volunteers and staff from local businesses picked up litter in the town centre. Community clean ups have already taken place in Maltby, Thurcroft, Eastwood and Wath. They come ahead of the ‘Right Royal Vintage Hop’ event in June, which links with the Queen’s official 90th birthday weekend. It’s all part of a national scheme to keep towns and cities clean.
