Community groups from Sharrow and Nether Edge have won a Sheffield Police Award for their work to reduce anti social behaviour in the area. Over the last three years there has been an increase in incidents of anti-social behaviour along Abbeydale Road. The community partnership was formed in response. The Sheffield City Centre Residents Action Group have submitted an objection to an application to the Sheffield Licensing Council for a sixth off-licence on Sheffield’s West Street. The group argues the high number of off-licences on West Street has a direct link to reports of anti-social behaviour. Simon Thake reports for Sheffield Live!
Nineteen Acts that deal with Anti social behaviour are being combined in to six. Legislation including ASBOs and section 30 dispersal orders are being consolidated to make them easier to implement.
