Ruta Flamenca

‘Ruta Flamenca’ is a collaborative space focused on event organisation to promote the Spanish culture around the UK. Our dearest wish is to generate happiness through music, food and good treatment!

La Típica is an innovative, contemporary flamenco company conceived to expand flamenco’s musical and choreographic structures. They understand flamenco in a new, contemporary sense, absorbing forms and ideas of contemporary dance. They have been based in London since 2007 but touring around the world to show their work, mainly between Spain, Chile and UK. They have acted in places like The Royal Albert Hall! It was formed originally by Jorge Bravo (guitarist and composer) and Natalia Garcia-Huidobro (dancer, teacher and choreographer) and for this special event, Julio López from Seville (singer) will be performing with them.

Cubana is one of the most famous and respected restaurants in Sheffield. Famed nationally for their original tapas recipes, their extensive menu combines classic Spanish-style dishes with South American flair and flavour. Since opening in 2000, this lively tapas restaurant has continued to draw the crowds!

This fantastic show will include two sets of fantastic flamenco music, singing and dance by this really talented group and a palmas (Flamenco hand clapping) workshop giving everyone the chance to get involved!
– The show will start at 18:45 at the Tapas restaurant upstairs at Cubana.
– The ticket price reserves you a table – full table service is available.
– The Ticket price does not include the provision of any food or beverages although tapas is available to order in the evening if required.
– The total price of each ticket is £9.50 in advance or £11 at the door (none other booking or admin fees will be applied).
