Pet photo competition – prizes to win!

Do you have a photogenic pet, a cute kitty or handsome hound?

Then enter our competition – you could win vouchers from Cookes Pet Supplies AND your pet can bask in fame and adulation.

Whether your pet is a beloved moggy, pampered pooch, or perhaps a gerbil, hamster, or something more exotic – just send us a picture to enter.

As long as the photograph is of your own, legally owned pet, whether it’s cute, silly or simply posing for the camera, we’d love to see your best picture!

There are great prizes for winners:

• 1st prize: £25 voucher from Cookes Pet Supplies
• 2nd prize: £15 voucher from Cookes Pet Supplies
• 3rd prize: £10 voucher from Cookes Pet Supplies

How to enter

It’s really simple to enter. Just send your photograph to comp@sheffieldlive.org – please send files no larger than 4 MB.

The deadline to enter is 5pm on Monday, 21st March. All entrants will also receive a special voucher for a one-off discount at Cookes Pet Supplies.

We’ll publish your pictures online here at www.sheffieldlive.org and in the daytime viewers’ pictures feed on Sheffield Live Television, and also on our facebook page.

And on 28 March our Sheffield Live team of animal loving judges will decide the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

Terms and Conditions

In addition to our normal standard terms and conditions of competition entry, the following special terms also apply to this competition:

1. Entrants retain copyright of their photographs but grant Sheffield Live and Cookes Pet Supplies unlimited useage rights to publish their photographs online only in articles and marketing material connected to this competition;

2. Only one entry per person – an entry comprises of one photograph;

3. You may only enter the competition if you are the owner of the copyright of the photograph you are submitting;

4. Photographs may not contain illegal or pornographic images;

5. The judges will be Sheffield Live! volunteers / staff; the judges’ decision regarding prizes will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding reasons for choices; no-one connected with the judges will be able to enter.

Win 2 tickets for the Brit Rock Film Tour on 30th November

Brit RockThe Brit Rock film tour is the first home grown adventure tour to emerge from the vibrant UK film making industry.

After the success of its inaugural 2014 launch the tour is back with a bang for 2015. Brit Rock comes right from the heart of the UK adventure scene, with liberal splashes of the inimitable British spirit.

And Sheffield Live has 2 tickets available to win, courtesy of Sheffield Students’ Union & Heason Events.

Focused on mountains this year, the tour will feature three stunning films: Wild Atlantic (Craig Hiller), Operation Moffatt (Jen Randall) & Citadel (Alastair Lee), the world’s first mountaineering documentary filmed entirely in 4K.

Leading adventure film maker Alastair Lee is back with a brand new mountain film for 2015, Citadel, featuring UK alpinists Matt Helliker and Jon Bracy embarking on a first ascent in a stunning and remote corner of the Alaskan wilderness. The world’s first 4k mountain film, a truly amazing spectacle.

This feature is supported by the BMC TV production by Jen Randel and Claire Carter, Operation Moffat, an inspiring and charming archive account of Britain’s first female mountain guide, the amazing Gwen Moffat (now 92).

Adding to the program will be the superb short Wild Atlantic, a montage of all things climbing on the west coast of Ireland by climbing photographer Craig Hiller.

Since the release of their third album, the much lauded ‘Lost In The Dream’ in 2014, The War On Drugs, driven by the creative force of Adam Granduciel, continue to triumph.

Filmmakers and musicians invited to enter 2Weeks 2Make It

Budding and established filmmakers and musicians are invited to enter South Yorkshire’s very own music video competition – which has a £500 cash prize. 2Weeks2Make it is a music video competition, now in its 7th year.

Whether:

  • you think you’ve got what it takes to make a music video;
  • your band wants a boost in online promotion;
  • your filmmaking show-reel needs a little diversity;
  • or maybe you are interested in working with new people,

2Weeks2Make it is open for an excellent creative vehicle for making new contacts in the film and music industry.

Xmas celebration Victorian style

Sheffield Industrial Museum held its 22nd annual Victorian Xmas market at Kelham Island. The Town Crier, Morris Men and a Punch and Judy show entertained those attending,  alongside characters from the Victorian era who, added to the atmosphere.
